Monster Truck Finals in Las Vegas

What a weekend.......I have to say that we had so much fun, so I guess I will break it down by day.

Thursday we drove to St. George and went shopping, then we headed over to see my Grandma & Grandpa, It was great to see them. After about two hours of visiting we went to Mesquite and stayed at the Eureka. Braylee & Bostyn were dying to swim even though it was 50 degrees and the wind was blowing, I couldn't tell them no. Thank goodness the pool and hot tub were heated so they were warm but I was freezing just watching them.
On Friday we drove to Vegas, we went to the M&M Factory and walked the strip which was pretty scary, I think we saw our life flash before our eyes 2 or 3 times just crossing the road. The kids thought it was pretty neat seeing all the Hotels & Casinos.
After we checked into our room we headed over to Circus Circus Adventure Land. Braylee & Bostyn had so much fun riding the rides, they also got airbrush tattoos.
Braylee wanted her hair braided which only took about ten minutes, it is amazing how fast they can braid. Chevy & I had our portrait done by a Caricature Artist. At about 10:30 we went back to our room and the kids were out like lights.

On Saturday we decided to go to the Hoover Dam since the kids had never seen it and I hadn't been there since I was a kid. Chevy was a nervous wreck, if the kids even wanted to look over the side he was freaking out, legs shaking and all, he was physically sick when we got in the car to leave from his fear of heights. It is amazing to me that he will jump his sand rail and race up and down Sand Mountain at 80 miles and hour, which makes me physically sick from the adrenaline rush, But you put him on a bridge or dam and he is a mess.
After the dam, we went to the pit party at Sam Boyd Stadium. As you can see the kids were able to sit in Grave Digger, and see all the Monster Trucks up close.
The highlight of Bostyn's weekend is when he got to see Travis Pastrana. Bostyn lives for Nitro Circus on MTV on Sunday nights, he absolutely idolizes Travis Pastrana, so when he was able to see him in real life all he kept saying was "Mom, that's the guy that does the back flip on motorcycles, I see him on TV, and I am going to be like him one day." I have to say I actually believe he probably will be doing a back flip on his motorcycle one day. We didn't want to wait in the mile long line for his autograph so we walked up to the front of the line to see if we could see him and he looked right at us and waved and gave a thumbs up for the picture. It was pretty cool, I have to say I was starstruck.

After we watched the parade of all the trucks head over to the stadium, We had great seats thanks to Paul. One of the trucks lost his breaks and rolled into the stands, If I was one of those people watching that truck come at me I think I would have had a major accident if you know what I mean. During the Freestyle competition almost every single truck rolled, it was so cool to see these guys who have put everything into these trucks completely destroy them.

Maximum Destruction ended it with a back flip which Bostyn loved. We had a great time, and are already planning on going back next year, I have to say it was the coolest motor sports event I have ever been to and I would suggest anyone who likes motor sports or horsepower to go, It is something to see. It will be airing on TV soon so I will let you know when so you can see what I am talking about.

Miscellaneous this & that..........

Okay so I am a total loser and really need to post something but I really haven't done anything exciting at all. We are headed to Vegas to the Monster Truck finals this weekend so I will finally have something good to post. So I will post a little of this & that.

First off Bostyn got a new four-wheeler and Chevy was trying to teach him how to do wheelies in the front yard. It was so cute he is such a great Dad, but I think Boss is still a little to small to be doing wheelies on a four-wheeler. (You never know with him though he could be doing it next week)

Another fun moment and my husband might kill me for posting these pictures of him on the blog was when he let the kids take the markers to him for about 45 minutes, I totally forgot to get a picture when they were totally done, but he was covered from head to toe.

We also had a surprise 60th birthday party for Chevy's dad and got a picture of the whole family. We had a great time I finally got to meet Chevy's grandma Marjorie, she is such a sweet lady. John (Chevy's Dad) was so suprised, he had no idea we planned a suprise party and was actually mad at us because none of us knew if we should say anything so we all acted dumb when he asked about getting the family together, knowing that we had this suprise party planned.

In the last couple of weeks I have been going through old family pictures and I can't believe how much my Dad and Bostyn look a like as kids. Tell me what you think.

New Years Eve Party......2009

So me and Chevy decided to have a new years party at our house this year...... we had so much fun Jayson & Haley brought over their poker table not that we really used it and Ryan and Ali brought Rockband. We had a ridiculous amount of food as you can see.
Heidi rockin out on the drums me on the guitar and Haley singing
Chelsee singing

Chevy, Randen & Ryan wrestling I could really kick all of their butts they bend my theater couches downstairs! But men and their egos, they have to see who's tougher.
Me and Chelsee I think we took like 15 pictures to get one we both liked, she's probably going to kill me for posting this but check out this one she kept closing her eyes so she was holding them open.......

Time to catch up.......Christmas morning

Okay so I haven't posted for about a month so I am going to try to sum it all up so it might be kinda long...actually I might do it in a couple of posts. So christmas eve we had to put the reindeer food out on the lawn see below me outside in the blowing snow
Braylee & Bostyn watching me out the front window
My mom and dad made cookies with them the a couple of nights before so we were able to put those out and they were so excited about the fact that they made the cookies......thanks Mom & Dad.

Christmas morning was total crazyness which it always is at our house. My Mom and Dad come over and stay all day so we don't have to leave anywhere and Chevy's mom either comes by Christmas eve or day. So it is so nice we never have to go anywhere the kids get to stay home all day and play with their toys and I get to clean up a huge mess all day which is totally worth it to see the excitement they have christmas morning.

This is right before they get to see all their toys and Chevy was teasing them so bad with wanting to take more picture I thought they were both going to have a breakdown.

The big reveal at first they didn't know what to do it was so funny

Bostyn with his T-Rex my Mom & Dad bought him & opening their ridiculous amount of presents. Between me and my Mom we go completly overboard.

Chevy trying to hook up the Nintendo Wii he was so excited about it.

We spent the day playing the Wii (me and Chevy and our competitions) and playing with toys & games with the kids and me cleaning up of course. We had a great christmas minus the fact that my Grandma & Grandpa didn't make it this year due to the weather, we missed them..........

Braylee's Dance Recital

Tonight was Braylee's half-year Dance Recital. Her and Avery are in dance class together and she loves it. She has been anticipating this for the last two weeks so needless to say she was so excited tonight and wanted to invite everyone but I thought I might be easier if I just post the video and pictures from the night. You will have to pause the music on the bottom of my blog to hear the music to her dance. It was to "Mama I'm A Big Girl Now" from "Hairspray" soundtrack.

I absolutely love their costumes.
Braylee and Avery before the recital

As you can see she loves to pose.
Braylee waiting for her dance to start
Dancing
My Mom & Dad - They were so proud of her

Bostyn & Brooklyn (Doesn't he look like a mischevious little stink)

Here is the video, bear with the camera movement and editing. Don't forget to pause the music at the bottom so you can hear the song the dance is to.
